Political Correctness: Ain’t It Grand

Good football games are lousy for the concession business.   That’s the only explanation I can offer for a strange weekend that ended the month of October.  Being a sports fan, especially a football fan, I find that disturbing.
Tank and crew rocked at Liberty–again.  Long lines.  Sold out of several things.  Another great outing for us.  [...]

Linda, If You’d Only Known Me Then

It is rumored that Linda of TJ’s Catering, my connection to Richmond Raceway, Fredericksburg Auto Auction, and Belvedere Plantation, found it humorous that I referred to myself as the “old, fat, funnel cake guy.”  She also was quoted that “Chillie isn’t fat at all.”

Peggy, The Flasher and A War With Flies

I thought I had a bad day, but in retrospect, Peggy’s was worse.  It all started at the motel in Fredericksburg last Thursday.  As usual, since I am really a nice guy, I got up early, got my shower, shaved and dressed, ready to head for the auction.  The last thing I did before going [...]
